Central Jakarta Administration Cleans Jakim 2024 Track

The Central Jakarta Administration, Friday (6/7), held communal work to clean Jakarta Internasional Marathon (Jakim) 2024 tracks which spread in Gambir Sub-districts, Menteng, Kemayoran, Sawah Besar and Tanah Abang Sub-district.

400 joint personnel were deployed at Monas

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma, explained the communal work was held at Monas or Jalan Merdeka Barat, Selatan, Timur, Pejambon, Hotel Borobudur area. Then continued to Gunung Sahari, Pasar Baru, Lapangan Banteng, Jalan Veteran, Jalan Sudirman, Bunderan HI and Kuningan.

"400 joint personnel of Water Resource, Bina Marga, Forestry, Environment Sub-agency, Transportation, Saptol PP, and Fire Handling and Rescue were deployed at Monas," he explained.

Dhany hopes that the Jakim event can become a mandatory part of the runners' calendar, and can compete with similar events that have been well released on the island of Bali. He assured that international events like this would increase tourism for Jakarta.

"This event is an effort to increase tourism in Jakarta. That's why we want to create a more comfortable, safe, and beautiful city environment," he added.

Meanwhile, Tanah Abang Sub-district Head, Dwiarti Indriani Utami, said the communal work in her area involved 150 joint personnel.

"We'll paint the sidewalk as well as clean the park and water channel," she stated.
